Autumn Fashion Staples

Autumn Fashion Staples by tashtastic featuring black boots

Welcome to my autumn fashion staples, I am aware that everything is monochrome but recently I have been adding more grunge to my look. I own a lot of this stuff and have been wearing them constantly; I still like to add a pop of colour to my looks, but these are my autumn staples for 2014.

£6.99 - newlook.com

A black t-shirt, I didn't actually own a black t-shirt in my wardrobe but now I do own one it has become a staple. I can dress it up or down, can add it to a monochrome outfit or put it with a colourful outfit.

£6.99 - newlook.com

Much like the black top, I didn't own a white t-shirt. I don't know how I lived without a white top. It has become a staple, I can wear it with black skinny jeans and a scarf or underneath things.

£42.00 topshop.com

I don't own these trousers but I own ones from Primark that have the same print (£8, much cheaper than these Topshop ones). I can wear these leggings with a black or white top and they make a subtle yet powerful statement (I think anyway).

£24.99 - hm.com

I don't own these boots yet but I hope to by the time this post goes up. Boots are my absolute favourite shoes, I would wear them all year round if I could. I go back into them as early as possible (August). As I say, I've been adding more grunge to my outfits and I feel like these boots really complete the look.

£16.50 - usc.co.uk

As soon as I saw this jacket it was love! It fits like a glove and instead of being the conventional black it's navy. This instantly toughens up an outfit and I like to wear it with cute summer dresses to instantly add an edge to an outfit.

Skinny Jeans - Primark
£11

You can get black skinny jeans from anywhere but until recently I'd never owned a pair of black skinny's. You can wear them with absolutely everything and they look very cool. Complete fashion staple, not just autumn!

Those are all my autumn fashion staples, what are yours?

Skincare Must Haves for Teens // Teen Blog Series

Hey guys!

Teen Bloggers Anouska Millar and Beth have decided to start a project called #TeenBlogSeries. Its aim is to bring together lots of the teens/young adults in the blogging community. Welcome to another post in the #Teenblogseries. Today we're talking skincare. As a teenager your skin can cause you a lot of trouble. Here are 4 of my favourite things to help my skin stay in tip top condition.

1. Lip balm (Nivea Lip Butter) - I am a complete and utter lip balm junkie. I love the stuff. This is by far my favourite night time/intense lip balm. It smells amazing and leaves my lips feeling incredibly nourished and healthy. You never want to go out with dry, chapped lips, it's not very attractive and this lip balm makes that a thing of the past. Plus, it's super cheap and doesn't break the bank!

2. Spot Cream (Freederm Fast Track Spot Cream) - When those pesky spots do rear their ugly heads you definitely need a spot cream to help you keep them at bay. This is one of my favourites - as soon as I feel a spot coming on, or think one will appear in the next couple of days, I slather this on to stop the spots. It's a life saver and I honestly don't know what I would do without it! If you don't have one, I highly suggest you get one! It's helped me out so many times!
3. Night Moisturiser (Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturiser) - I have quite oily skin, especially at night so I like to use a more intense, oil free moisturiser. I really like this one as it's incredibly light and quick to absorb, yet it still gives my skin an injection of moisture that it needs at the end of the day. It also supposedly helps keep spots at bay, so it works super well with a spot cream.

4. Day Moisturiser (Simple Protecting Moisture Cream) - This is my favourite moisturiser at the moment. It absorbs so quickly into the skin (it's great when you're running late for school), hydrates my skin and it also contains SPF 30, which is great to stop you from getting any sun damage, even in the winter. It's also designed for sensitive skin so it doesn't irritate or cause any redness.

Those are my 4 skincare saviours for teenage skin. I hope you find something that helps your skin out! Thanks for reading!

Stuffed Red Peppers // Teen Blog Series

Welcome to the 4th #TeenBlogSeries post. Today's topic is a healthy food recipe. I have been trying over the summer to get healthier (it's kind of working) and today I thought I'd share with you a meal that I have been eating a lot; it's filling, quick and healthy!

These are incredibly simple to do. Trust me, if I can make them without messing them up then you can too!

1. Slice off the top of the red pepper
2. Take out the seeds from the inside.
3. Make your cous cous; you can use any type that you like. It really doesn't matter
4. Spoon your cous cous into the pepper. (You can add mushrooms or other vegetables into the cous cous if you wish).

5. Place the red peppers in the oven for roughly 20 minutes of 180°C.
6. Take out of the oven and serve.

Et voila! Done, I told you it was simple! Enjoy your stuffed red peppers!

Favourite Highstreet Shop and Picks // Teen Blog Series

Highstreet Picks

Highstreet Picks by tashtastic featuring short sleeve shirts

Hey guys!

My favourite highstreet store is without a doubt, New Look! I would say that 90% of my clothes are from there. I just love that shop - they always have something that I like and the prices are decent. I cannot express my love for it enough - I seriously think I keep it in business alone, hahah!

Above are some things that I own and that I am loving wearing at the moment. I recently came back off holiday (or I did as I write this) and I wore all this stuff a lot! They were very versatile and I recommend you get something like this stuff.

£17.99 - newlook.com

A denim shirt is now a STAPLE in my wardrobe. It goes with everything, I can wear it open or closed or even as a jacket. Plus I got this for £2.99 - it was the best £2.99 I ever spent! I get so much wear out of it. It will be great at the start of autumn/end of summer when it's warm, but you still need something to cover you up.

£12.99 - newlook.com

This shirt is one of my favourites in my wardrobe. I love wearing shirts like these in the winter as I can wear them with jumpers and have the little collars poking out.

£12.99 - newlook.com

These are my statement shorts. I wore these when I went on holiday and I loved them. They are super bright which I loved. I'm going to be wearing these in the autumn winter with tights and boots. They'll add a real kick to any outfit. This is me wearing them on holiday.

£2.99 - newlook.com

I was never sold on the headband/headscarve faze, but I saw these and thought what the hell, I'll give them a go. They make a summer outfit look really cute and girly and I've been loving wearing them with loose beachy waves. I used to be obsessed with heandbands (and still own over 50), but then I stopped wearing them. I'm trying to get back into them and these are my starter point.

Skater Skirt

I love skater skirts. They're so easy to wear; you can dress them up or down. Wear them in the day or at night - the possibility's are endless (okay, maybe not endless..). A denim skater skirt is a staple, they look good with cute crop tops or you can toughen them up by wearing boots and a leather jacket. Love, love, love!

So those are my picks from New Look. I could go on but I love all these things and they are great additions to my wardrobe.

Best Foundation and Brow Routine // Teen Blog Series

Hello guys!

Teen Bloggers Anouska Millar and Beth have decided to start a project called #TeenBlogSeries. Its aim is to bring together lots of the teens/young adults in the blogging community. Welcome to the 2nd post in the Teen Blog Series. Today we're talking about brows and foundation! I must admit that I don't do much to either areas of my face. My eyebrows are relatively thick (ish) and my skin is generally pretty good.

These are what my brows look like after I have finished doing them. It literally takes me 2 minutes to achieve this as I barely do anything to them.

These are the products I use for my eyebrows, I use a spooly and a cheap clear mascara. First of all I brush through my eyebrows with the spooly and then I go in with the clear mascara to set them into place to stop them from flying all over the place. And that's it for my brows - I really don't do a lot to them as I feel like they don't need a lot doing to them.

Now onto my foundation routine. Again I don't do a lot here. I only use my concealer and powder on an everyday basis. I use the Collection lasting perfection concealer underneath my eyes and on any spots or blemishes. I love this concealer, it stays put all day and it doesn't feel heavy at all. I then use the Miss Sporty Pressed Powder just done my T-Zone to stop my skin from turning shining throughout the day.

If I were going to use foundation then I would use the Rimmel Match Perfection. I really like this foundation as it gives a light-medium coverage that's build able. It also matches my skin tone which is very hard when you're the shade of a milk bottle all year round!

As I say I only use that foundation if I'm having an absolutely horrific skin day and I have spots all over the place. But, that doesn't happen very often at all. My skin is very good all year round, I only ever get a few little under the surface spots and occasionally one will erupt to the surface. Therefore I feel like I shouldn't wear foundation as it may clog my skin up and make me feel like I need to wear foundation.

Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed finding out about my brow and foundation routine (even though it's not the most exciting). Let me know how you do your brows and foundation on an everyday basis!
