My Summer Holiday

Hey!

Another picture heavy post today but I thought I would share a few snaps from my holiday. I had a great time and the weather was beautiful! We actually went a month ago but it's taken a while to get the photos. The hotel we stayed in was amazing and I'd really recommend it! Enjoy the photos!

EDIT: I forgot to say where I went! I went to Gran Canaria.

Have you been anywhere this holiday?

What's in my Travel Makeup Bag?

bag
Hey!

As I went on holiday recently, I thought I would show you what I took in my make-up bag - I love to read these posts as it really shows the products people love as they take them away with them.

Here's an overview of the stuff I'm taking; it's mainly lip products, but y'know a girl can never have too many. I haven't taken a foundation as when it's hot I can't be bothered with that (plus I never wear foundation anyway).

First of all, I'm taking the Collection Deluxe lipstick in Tallulah, which is my perfect everyday colour. I then have my Zoella Kissy Missy lipbalm to wear by the pool if I want to keep my lips moisturised but still have a hint of colour. I then also have my Collection Cream Puff which I am currently loving at the moment and then my Collection Matt lip Butter in Pumpkin Pie which is different to my usual pink lip.

I then have my Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara for the evenings, my Seventeen Stay Time Concealer which is my holy grail concealer - I love it! Then my staple Collection Extreme Felt tip liner which I use almost everyday - it lasts for ages which is a plus in the heat. And then I have a waterproof mascara to wear by the pool, this is the Maybelline the Falsies.

For brows I have my Maybelline Brow Drama which keeps my brows in place all day. I then have my Rimmel Scandaleyes waterproof eyeliner in case I want to do something smoky in the evenings. My trusty Rimmel Stay Matte powder is also coming, this really helps to keep shine at bay which I will need in the heat. Finally, I'm taking my Tanya Burr lipgloss in Aurora which I love, you can wear it on it's own or over a lipstick.

That's what I'm taking in my travel makeup bag - what would you take?

Beauty Habits Tag

Hello!

Today I thought I would do the beauty habits tags as it's been a while since I've done a tag.

How many times do you wash your face daily?
Once everyday - in the morning - and then sometimes again in the evening if my face is feeling especially gross.

What skin type do you have?

I'd say oily/combination but dehydrated.

What is your current facial wash?
I mix it up all the time, at the moment I am really liking Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean.

Do you exfoliate?
Yes! It makes my skin feel amazing afterwards.

What brand do you use?
I don't stick to a particular brand, I use whatever I have.

What moisturiser do you use?
In the morning I use the Garnier Moisture Match (yellow or green one) and in the evening I use a No7 one for dry skin.

Do you have freckles?
Yes though they tend to disappear in winter and come out again in summer.

Do you use eye cream?
Sometimes.

Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
I wouldn't say my skin is acne prone, it does get the odd breakout (around a certain time) but generally speaking it's pretty good - which is lucky.

What foundation do you use?
I don't wear foundation on a daily basis but if I am going to wear one it will be the Rimmel Match Perfection.

How about concealer?
I love the Seventeen Stay Time concealer - it's so good!

Do you know your colour undertone?
I would say an ever so slightly pink undertone. but I have cool skin.

What do you think of fake lashes?
I've never tried them but I think they're a lot of work for just an evening.

Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months
Yes, I hardly ever stick to it though...

What brand of mascara do you use?
Maybelline or Max Factor.

Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Pencil

Do you like drugstore makeup?
Yes! I don't own anything high end.

If you could leave the house using just one makeup item what would it be
Mascara - it makes you look more put together.

I tag...

Rebekka
Molly

That's it for the tag, what are your beauty habits?

13 Thoughts every Girl has in Primark

Hello!

Today I have a guest post from the lovely Wendy, be sure to check out her blog here.

Oh Primark you little money thief you, I do love a splurge after pay day.

Primark is one of those High Street shops which is hard to resist. Gone are the days when I use to take another bag to put my purchases in, you know cus it was like totes embarrassing to be seen with a Primark bag.

A million and one thoughts go through a girls head when she enters that massive bargain store but here's a few I feel we all think.

1. O.M.G what's with all the people? Is there an offer on I don't know about? I'm confronted with an over-whelming, sea of glazed over girls. There is some kind of trance Primark puts women in for sure.
2. There should be a pram ban! If there's one thing worse than a swarm of girls in a bargain trance, it's a swarm of girls in a bargain trance shoving push-chairs at your bare ankles.
3. Ok I'm through the door where's that top I saw in Cosmo? What do you mean you've sold out!
Why are there so many clothes on the floor? Is it so hard to fold something up and put it back?
4. Wait, why can't I get this back on the hanger right, uh I give up *lets it fall on floor*.
5. Who do I have to sell my soul to so I can get my hands on these shoes in a size 6? Why do I have to have feet the same size as 475826 people, sigh.
6. I don't need anymore novelty socks, said no girl ever. They're only £2, oh go on then.
7. Why can I never find a bra bigger than a DD in here? Our big busts need support too ya know.
8. Oh this top is so cute, I just need a size 14... there's an 8, 10, 12...16, what the hell?!
9. If I don't see food soon I think I may need to swap all the clothes in my basket for a size smaller.
10. Ok I have enough now, oh look cute nail decals! Oh and check the price of that headband, like I must have them too.
11. How long is that queue?! Maybe the next queue is shorter...Nope.
12. The checkout women just said next like 5 times, is anyone listening down there? Hurry up I can feel my arms dropping off.
13. And breath, oh fresh air how I missed you. I was actually starting to smell of other women's perfumes for a minute there.

Hope you enjoyed - again be sure to check out Wendy's links!

Summer Playlist 2015

Hello!

Today I thought I would show you the current tracks I have been listening to and (hopefully) give you something new to listen to. I love listening to music and always have something on in the background. I'm a huge fan of indie/alternative and rock music mostly.

First of all:

1. Novocaine - Fall out Boy

I absolutely love the intro to this and the beat throughout the song.

2. Uma Thurman - Fall out Boy

Again, Fall out Boy, I've gotten into Fall out Boy this summer. I really like the tune to this and the chorus.

3. Sex - The 1975

This may possibly be my favourite The 1975 song, I absolutely love them and can't wait to see them in November!

4. Hey Dude - Kula Shaker

Quite an old song but I am obsessed at the moment. I really like this song and constantly have it in my head.

5. Killing of a Flashboy - Suede

I love this song and this band. They are my all time favourite and this song I just love.

Those are just a handful of songs that I have been listening to throughout summer. What have you been listening to? And let me know if you'd like me to do more playlists!

Summer Sizzle: Top 5 Travel Tips

Hello Everyone!

As part of the secret blogger project, today I shall be talking about my summer holiday tips. As you read this I will be on holiday so hopefully I have put my own tips into practise.

TIP NO 1: PACK REALISTICALLY

I fail at this all the time. I always seem to pack way too much stuff and end up not wearing half of the stuff I take. This year I am going to try and condense my clothes to make a capsule wardrobe. I'll let you know how I get on with this.

TIP NO 2: TAKE MINI'S

It's such a pain lugging around huge toiletry bottle when on holiday so I either decanter things or take mini's. This way you can leave things behind that you finish plus you have more room in your case for duty free shopping!

TIP NO 3: TAKE PHOTOS

Photos are a great way to remember your holidays; having pictures that remind you of your trip is a great keepsake. Try and get as many pictures as you can printed in case anything happens to them. I always love to make scrapbooks of photos so also try to get things printed.

TIP NO 4: MAKE A LIST

I am a list maker so as soon as an opportunity arrives to make a list, I am all over it! Make a note of everything you need to remember so that you don't forget anything. There's nothing worse than arriving on holiday only to realise you've left something crucial behind.

TIP NO 5: KEEP ENTERTAINED WHEN TRAVELLING

When going away it usually involves travelling of some sort so I always make sure I have things to do, for example, music, books, magazines and TV. We have a 4 hour flight for our holiday so I may download Pretty Little Liars to watch on board the flight.

Those are all my travel tips, hopefully I'll put my own tips into action to have a smooth holiday. Are you going anywhere this year?

Summer Sizzle: Summer Confidence

Hey!

Today I am back with another Secret Blogger Project post. Today's topic is Summer Confidence. I wouldn't say I am the most chatty/ confident person at all, but I have accepted who I am and am happy in my own skin.

Being a teen, I know that my body will be changing and developing and that's fine; we're all just growing up. In terms of baring legs, tummies etc, I think it all depends on your mindset. At the end of the day, we all have these body parts. Some people like them, others don't.

Personally, I think as long as you are happy and healthy then you shouldn't really worry about what size you are. I think to feel summer confident you need to accept that everybody looks different and although you may scroll through your instagram feed and feel inferior, instagram is an edited version of people. It's where people go to portray the best version of themselves. Don't get so fixated on filters, just be yourself.

I also think that having a nice pamper session before you know you need to bare your legs etc can really improve your confidence. Knowing you have super smooth legs can really make my confidence rocket.

In summer, I know a lot of people wear less makeup and can feel self concious bearing their skin. Again, you have to remember that people have good and bad skin days. Spots, redness and blemishes happen to everyone; there's no need to feel ashamed of them!

Those are my thoughts on summer confidence and a few small tips on how to feel more confident. How do you feel more confident? Let me know!
